The Transcription Company UK (formerly Dataplus Solutions) is an award winning company and was set up by Mel Cowley in 1999 to provide an online transcription / audio typing service for organisations and individuals both in the UK and overseas, and has gone from strength to strength to become one of the leading specialist audio transcription companies in the UK. Dataplus Solutions (now The Transcription Company UK) were awarded 2 prestigious business awards in 2002 for 'Innovation & Technology in Business' and 'Software In Business' . Regular customers include universities, conference and teleconference companies, large and small businesses, market research organisations, inventory companies, letting and estate agents, authors, students and individual entrepreneurs.
All projects are overseen by Mel who herself has over 25+ years experience as an audio transcriptionist / audio secretary. Each project is undertaken in the strictest confidence - Confidentiality Agreements on request. "The team consists of 8 UK-based professional transcriptionists who have worked as a team for a number of years which enables us to provide a very friendly, personalised and flexible service tailored to each of our customers own individual requirements whether they be a large multi-national company or an individual student undertaking research for their Masters Degree. Our team has considerable experience and expertise and has transcribed for wide range of organisations such as scientific institutions (e.g. the Royal Society and The BA) as well as continuous work for a number university departments undertaking a varied range of research projects."
